Theme
Each of the four reel frames changes from season to season, with the Ice surrounded reel of Winter my favourite followed by the Ivy clad reels of summer. The background is by and large the same in contents, showing a woodland scene which varies with the seasons. Autumn for example sees the sky a little darker, the leaves turning brown and littering the glade floor whilst summer is a bright vibrant sunny sky with flowers in full bloom.
The pay icons also change with the game, I like the fact that they have chosen the playing card suits to make the low pay icons easy to spot but have kept them in tone by making them various types of plants and ferns to match each suit. The higher pay icons alter from game to game, summer fruits, autumn nuts, spring flowers and the like, it is clever, and fun.
Gameplay & Features
All of the seasons have their own distinct wild animal symbol, which each being a varied and different kind of wild. The hare runs through the winter snows and offers a duplicating wild effectively increasing the number on the screen, a deer scampers through the summer glade and is an expanding wild symbol who can turn all four symbols around him wild. Autumn is greeted by the wise owl as a fixed wild who issues respins and autumn is hunted by the wily fox who is a random wild offering a multiplier based on the number of wild symbols you have on the reel screen.
The paylines are fixed so selecting stake is simple, very much like the recently released Golden Fish Tank, minimum bet is 0.20 credits a spin and the max 40.00, with a 60,000 fixed jackpot up for grabs this is something for lower and mid-level players both here. Summary
Seasons has all the hallmarks of a good real money slots game whilst till retaining enough to be a hit freeplay, good audio visuals, solid theme, catchy music, enticing gameplay and variety. The bonus features in terms of number of wilds is good but this does mean the only true extra bonus round is the spins, which can feel a little empty when all other areas of the game are so full.
