Temple of Gold Slot Machine
You’re going to be experiencing a lot of Aztec vibes when playing this Red Tiger Gaming slot called Temple of Gold. Although the title may sound very generic as far as themes go, it’s actually in a league of its own; we were blown away from the moment it loaded.
Lorna, a very curvaceous and skimpily clad woman, is your guide through the temple and she’s a very giving one at that. Not only does she keep you alive, but she also takes you down paths that ensure you get more wins, which come in the form of various features. We don’t want to spoil it before you’ve started, but there’s more than just wilds to be had here.
It’s a high variance slot that packs a punch, one that’ll leave you reeling but coming back for more, most of the time with your pockets lined with gold. Aztec gold.
Lovely Lorna
This lady is at the heart of the game, and is in control of most of the bonus features you’ll snag along the way; she has quite a list of features to offer you.
There is the relic hunting bonus symbol, which is a compass and map that will gift you with various multipliers on top of your winnings, giving you a very juicy pile of treasure to take home with you. If two of these icons are upon your reels and you’re waiting on the last reel to finish spinning, that reel will turn into a map in anticipation of it potentially being a combination. It happens regardless of whether it comes up or not, a finishing touch we like as it polishes off the gameplay.
Players will also come across a feature called ‘Bonus Reel’ (linked to the bonus icon) – the torches on either side of the grid burst into action and the stone parts to form a kind of wheel. Upon this wheel is a series of prizes, and you have to wait until one is chosen for you; they’re all very good rewards, so you’ll never be disappointed.
In addition to this you also have Lorna coming onto the screen whipping and pressing reels to swap and nudge them, which helps you to create a winning combination. This doesn’t happen often, we only managed it a couple of times, but when it does we got a lot of money back into our account.
Tiles of Gold
The other symbols you’ll come across here vary in cash amounts, with some more lacklustre than others, though it’s important to note that no symbol will ever payout more than 600 credits. This is medium level of monetary gain - there are many slots out there that pay a lot higher and a lot less. The wild is the icon you’ll want five of if you intend to get the max amount.
Right at the bottom, where nobody wants to venture, is where you’ll find the 10 symbol. Muted in colour when compared with the specialised tiles, it’s as if it knows it doesn’t deliver much cash. Three matches will get you 4 credits, but five will only get you 26, which still isn’t overly impressive.
Praise the Gods
There are 20 paylines in this game but they’re fixed and so you can’t alter them, which means all you have to do is decide your stake and whether you want to autoplay or not. It certainly makes getting started a lot easier.
To set your betting amount you need to find the ‘Total Stake’ widget at the bottom of the screen. It’ll start off with a stake of 0.20, but you can increase that up to 500 credits via the plus icon. As you can see, Temple of Gold is all about risks, which may make some less experienced gamers uncomfortable - if you’ve never tried out slot machines before, this title isn’t one for you. You’re better starting with something a lot less volatile.
Coming Out the Other Side
Temple of Gold is a fitting name for this Red Tiger Gaming title, for there is a lot of cash to be won. However it isn’t the highest paying slot we’ve ever played, and considering it has such a high level of risk, it seems you get less back for your bet. Graphically speaking though it’s superb in every way.
