Ninja Fruits Online Slot Machine
Fruit might not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of Ninjas – though that has not stopped the creative minds at Play N Go from coming up with a slot that combines the two. The technology behind this has been used for other titles. Unless you are following the games very closely, you would not necessarily spot these similarities. These occur in the free spins bonus game (where you get an extra expanding scatter) and a separate pick-em game too. This is a light-hearted game, though it does offer the chance of a good size win – especially via those free spins.
Graphics are good without being stunning, the base Ninjas look very professional, and the fruits are in the tradition of slot games from many years ago. Where this game stands out is the animations. When you get a winning combination including the fruit, these get sliced by the Ninjas. These animations are combined with sound effects which are more comedy-like than serious Ninja; there is some quieter pulsating background music in place too. The audio livens up considerably during the bonus games – though this is not the best soundtrack work I have come across from Play N Go titles.
Those expanding wilds can make a huge difference to your free spins round, and have the potential to cover all of the reels. The other game involves virtually throwing a throwing star at some fruit.
The only break from standard game-play is when you get 3 gifts on the screen. You pick one of these to receive your prize. It is possible to get wins of up to 5x the amount in the pay table via one of the wild multiplier symbols.
Setup and Play for Ninja Fruits
This game uses the standard 15 line, 5 reel and 3 row setup favoured by Play N Go. You can choose the number of lines you play, the coin amount and up to 5 coins per line. This gives you a spin range of 15c and $18.75c. You can spin automatically with auto play, and gamble on the turn of a playing card after you win.
The Japanize wise-man, complete with white beard is the best symbol you’ll see in this game. Not only is this wild, substituting for everything except the bonus symbols, it is worth 5000 coins for 5-of a kind too.
The wild symbol is extra welcome – since this has a multiplier of between 2x and 5x associated with it. Combining Santa with the best of the wilds can give you a top potential win of 12500 coins.
Next in line are the different Ninjas. There are two women and two men, with the lady in red worth the most with 1000 coins for 5. The muscular blue guy is next (750) with the green lady and orange guy making up the rest. Fruits are more numerous, and will give you a lot of smaller wins while you are playing. You only need one or two wild symbols over the 15 lines and you can hit a lot of winning combinations at the same time.
There are two more symbols, both of which are used to trigger the bonus games. The Geisha is a scatter, paying 5x your total spin amount with 3 in reels 1, 3 and 5. This triggers the free spins bonus game. The other symbol is a throwing star, this appears in reels 3, 4 and 5 – if you get all 3 then you trigger the pick-em game.
Ninja Fruits Bonus Games
Before the free spins game starts you will see a full reel sized Geisha, who will spin a reel which looks like the top of her umbrella. This stops on a symbol, which becomes your extra scatter for the remainder of the round. The Geisha then produces a fan, which shows the number of spins you’ll get.
During this game the scatters will often expand to cover entire reels – after whatever wins from the current symbols have been totalled up. If you get 3 or more reels, this can add up to a lot of wins. There was no retrigger for this game.
If you hit 3 of the throwing stars you will go to a different screen. Here you see both the Geisha and wise man either side of 5 stands holding fruit. An arm appears which holds a throwing star. You then pick a fruit and click. Most of them contain a prize (in coins), and you get to throw again. One does not, and if you choose this you will miss with 3 stars and the round will end. You can win up to 150x your initial spin amount in this entertaining game.
Ninja Fruits – Conclusion
I tend to enjoy the games which make an effort to be light-hearted and entertaining, and this is no exception. The theme is quirky and light, with animations and sound effects combining to good effect. At the same time the bonus games can bring you some significant wins – especially the extra expanding scatter symbols in the free spins round.
This game gets my recommendation; check it out for yourself soon!
