Theme
In all honesty, whilst produce well enough, the reel backdrop and icons on the game are, well, a little bland. You only have to look at something like the Gumball 3000 slot which Play N Go produced for Betsafe casino to see what they are really capable of, in that respect Charterrejsen feels like a little bit of a let-down.
The reel icons are all typical holiday symbols, suitcases, cocktails, inflatable toys and the like, they don’t have any real 3D animation or individual sound effects but are well drawn. There is no backing music to speak of either, simply the gentle rustling of the waves, this then jars quite dramatically with the winning sequence sound effects and reel noises, I recommend you reach for the mute button.
This theme is fairly middle of the road, not bad, not great, It’s certainly better than some developers efforts are on a day to day basis, it’s just not the best this game house has ever done, does the gameplay make up for it?
Gameplay & Features
One thing this game does have is good playability and decent win potential, to get this, ideally, you want to see one of the two Danish tourists Lasse & Lis on the reels. Lasse, the male sunseeker, is a scatter symbol, at just two symbols he grants you a prize. That isn’t all though as with three Lasse icons you get 15 spins, 20x for 4 icons and 25 if you manage to get all five. If he appears during one of the free spins themselves he will turn wild!
Lis, the female holidaymaker, is clearly not going to be outdone by her man, pick up three of her portrait to get 3 picks on a bonus round where you choose from holiday snapshots to reveal mystery prizes, pick up 4 to get 4 picks and 5 for all five symbols. This seems like the simple side of the bonus, but there is up to 500x your line bet hidden away in here.
Summary
The theme is offbeat, the gameplay good and the win potential I definitely above average, overall, this could be a holiday to remember and reminisce about for a long time to come, we think it’s worth a spin or two in demo mode at the very least, treat it as a weekend break rather than your annual leave.
