Wild Bee Slots
Okay, we weren’t frightened of bees until we started playing Wild Bee, but now we’re quite weary of the little creatures. Wasps have always been the stuff of nightmares, but bees have only ever harmed out of panic… that is until we came across the feisty one upon these 5-reels. My oh my, this bee is ticked off. If it wasn’t part of a special feature we’d be swatting it away frantically.
For those of you not running away in fear of winged bugs, well done. Now that you’re safe inside the kitchen we can tell you what these 20 paylines are all about, and how you can get the most out of them. Not that we have a solid strategy: just avoid getting stung for real.
This is a cheerful game, except for the obvious, and as such is coloured like something from a child’s mind - it’s enchanting, bewitching and beautiful to look at. As bright as any flower on a summer’s day. This is a prize best to be picked and placed into a vaseful of water before harsh weather sets in.
Bee with a Deadly Sting
Seeing as the bee whizzing about is quite literally the highlight of the game, we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave you wondering about the feature any longer.
Wilds, judging by their name alone, are very random and unexpected: they wildly appear out of nowhere and move the grid about. In Wild Bee, you sort of have the same thing happening, only instead of a tile you get a floating bee that pops up and stings another of the icons. It sounds brutal, and when you see the reaction of some of the symbols, we’d be inclined to agree, but by stinging another tile the bee actually creates a win for us. This feature seems to happen quite a lot, we had it show up more times than not, which begs the question of how wild it really is. But no matter, it was innovative and clever.
This isn’t the only bee you’ll see, but it’s the only loner, the others tend to fly in a swarm, known in this online activity as the scatter icon. The scatter, as we know by now, tends to do one of two things, it either grants free spins or offers a multiplier. In Wild Bee it does both, making it a double whammy of a tile that we just can’t get enough of. The most it can win you is x25 and 12 spins, a reasonable enough return if not the most impressive available.
Sweet as Honey
Honey, like a lot of things, is an acquired taste, but it seems like many of us are more than willing to cook and bake with it, even if we don’t like it in its natural form. This is lucky because the bonus round involves you selecting the right items to bake with, and as there’s baking afoot there will surely be a lot of honey. This is Wild Bee after all.
To activate the bonus level here, you need to get enough symbols on a select number of reels, the first or fifth. Different though this may be to the norm, it also means that getting to the feature game is much harder than normal, as if it wasn’t already taxing enough. When you finally enter the kitchen, you’ll need to click the right images to continue with your cook off, the coins granted as you go. Get it wrong and the kitchen is about to become a messy disaster zone.
Pollination
For the world of Wild Bee to be a prettier place, users need to sow the seeds of coin upon the user interface, starting off with as little as €0.01. This bet can then bloom into a much larger stake, reaching towards the sky with its heftier €0.50 pricetag, per line that is. Of course, the final bet can end up being ridiculously high because of being able to place 10 coins of value across the grid, so watch what you’re doing.
Fortunately for us, the rest of the control panel seems to be less volatile, with even the Double or Quit appearing much friendlier than the betting range. Sure it can take your winnings from one round, but it can also double them five times; much better than paying a €1,000 wager to play.
