Spin Deuces Slots
If you’ve never played Deuces before, it’s worth knowing that it’s a variation of Solitaire. What this means is that some of the rules from the card game come into play in this online slot machine, which of course will have some players panicking. The beauty of slot machines is that they tend to be simplistic, and while Spin Deuces isn’t overly complex, it isn’t simple.
The 3x5 grid is still there, which is a relief, but instead of simply 5 reels, there’s then 15 different tiles placed across the screen, each of which is revealed to be a card suit. Considering this, those of you who have no real interest in casino games, may want to play another title from iSoftBet, such as Aquatic Star.
Should you still be here and ready to play, our review is designed to not only show you the pitfalls (if any) of the game, but to also to help make playing Spin Deuces as easy as can be. So if you’re ready to set your foundations of the game and have a cheeky punt, we’re ready also.
How to Play
As some of you will probably be out of your depth with this one, we’ll start by getting the controls and interface out of the way. As Spin Deuces is a slot machine, when all is said and done, it operates as one, meaning most of the buttons you’ll have used and seen elsewhere before.
Even though gamers can try out a demo version of the activity, we’re going to go off of the assumption that you’re playing with money, which means you’ll want to place a stake. To do this you need to go to the plus and minus symbols on the left hand side of the controls, a display sandwiched in the middle.
Gamers will start with 0.02 coins, using the appropriate button to increase the total to 2 credits, the usual sum the brand caps off at. In placing this sum of money on the reels, you’re doing so across the 9 winlines, which means your wager can be between €0.18 and €90. The Max Bet button only changes the winlines to their max amount, NOT your stake.
The Auto widget is where you’ll activate the main body of the hands free waves, though you can select x5 and x10 manually without ever having to tap the automatic toggle. Furthermore, when you do reach for the auto option, you’ll be able to set both the basic settings and advanced ones. You don’t need to use the advanced options given in order to play the feature, but it’ll definitely be something more tactile players will want to investigate and potentially utilise.
Paytable
When it comes to the paytable, you really need to know your card game terminology, otherwise what you’re aiming to win will be lost on you. It was on us, at first. This is because it uses a value system based off of tabletop card games, and thus no set symbols are presented for you to find. Instead, you need to get three of a kind or a flush for a win to happen. And then you’ll need a specific amount in order to activate the winnings.
As little as 1 credit can be won but as much as 4,000, with the amount of each grouping increasing with the number of cards found. For example, if you get five lots of the three of a kind, gamers will win themselves 5 credits, but if they only get one set they end up with 1 credit. The highest grouping anyone can make is a ‘royal flush without a deuce’, with the aforementioned 4k being the top prize.
Seeing as nothing about this slot machine is inherently normal, you have no wilds, no scatters, no free spins, and simply no bonuses or special features of any kind.
After Thoughts
This game isn’t one you can just pick up and play, thus losing the appeal of it being a ‘casual gaming’ experience, and so we don’t think many outside of the card playing circuit will bother trying Spin Deuces. Niche activities, by their very definition, are selective, meaning a lot of gamers will seek entertainment from elsewhere.
